I have a degree in Business Management and Leadership from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Experience in the Field:
I started my career in Early Childhood Education in 2002 as an infant teacher. I have continued to work in the field since my days in the infant room and have played many different roles within a center. I love all of the aspects of child care, but the two year olds have a special place in my heart. I was a two year old teacher for the majority of my career leading up to being a director. The Program Director position gives me the unique opportunity to work closely with all of the children and teachers while growing relationships daily.
My husband John and I have three children, named Ty, Kayla, and Daniel.
Special Interests & Hobbies:
I love to read! I read books on leadership and team building, young adult novels, and historical fiction.
Why I Chose this Field:
I began working in child care as a young mom; my oldest son was two years old and he now is in college. The Director of his child care center asked if I would be interested in working for her because she thought I had the right heart for the job. I have never left the field! The children I have worked with have taught me so much about life; I have a passion to treat them with respect and kindness in everything I do because I see my job as an absolute treasure to be trusted to help them blossom. I chose this field because I can’t imagine going to work without being able to spend some time being silly, and offering my whole heart to these children!
